If You Really Knew Me...

Sorry about the late post today! I have been trying to get in the habit of writing my posts ahead of time but I was just out of words last night so it didn't get done.

I'm sure you have all seen these "If you really knew me.." posts floating around and it's time I hop on that wagon and share my version of it. So here goes:

If you really knew me:

-You'd know that I sing all of the time at home, especially if something else is making noise like the washing machine, vacuum, blow dryer, etc. It's like I'm in competition with it to be the loudest. It used to drive my mom crazy and now it drives Jake crazy. I love singing loudly and just being loud in general. Now, I'm not super loud everywhere, typically only in the car or at home. Maybe one day I'll sing for y'all on the blog. Not too loud, though. :)

-You'd know that I eat my meal one thing at a time. I think I might have mentioned that here before. And I don't drink anything until I'm finished. I found out that I got this from my dad. Nice to know that the madness comes from somewhere.

-Opposite of Erin over at Living in Yellow, I ALWAYS have shoes on. Unless I'm inside at home, I hate being barefoot. I can't stand walking on anything without shoes on. It hurts the bottom of my feet too bad. Growing up, my GG and Grandaddy owned a convenience store near a lake and I was always there with my mom and them, so they obviously always kept shoes on me. No one wants their kid having jiffy feet.

-Along with always having to have shoes on, I can't stand having dirty feet or toes. If I am wearing sandals and get dirt on my foot, I find the nearest bathroom and wash them. Can't stand dirty feet.

-Actually, if you knew me, you'd know I don't like feet. Period. I don't want to touch anyone's foot, I don't want them touching me with their foot, and I don't want anyone to touch my foot. Ew. Just ew. Can't handle it. I remember being held down by some guys in high school and they would touch my foot with their feet. That's a big 'ole mix of a lot of disgusting. This weird thought just came to me that the first book I ever read was Dr. Seuss' "The Foot Book." Maybe that's where this foot thing stemmed from. "Left Foot. Right Foot. Feet. Feet. Feet. Oh, how many feet you meet." How gross?! I don't want to meet any feet!

-I'm not a complete fatty, but I am constantly looking forward to my next meal. When I am eating breakfast, I like to think about what I'm going to have for lunch. When I'm having lunch, I'm thinking about what's for dinner. I also got this trait from my dad. I'm visiting my parents in a few weeks and Dad and I have already started planning the "menu". I think it's partly that I want to have a plan and partly just because I like looking forward to what I'm eating. My friend/co-worker/pastor's wife, Mandi, and I love trying new places for lunch, especially if it serves good country cooking and sweet tea. If the majority of people eating there are over the age of 60, it's probably a place for us.

I think that's enough for today. I didn't mean for this to become "If you really knew me..." Feet Edition, but it did kind of turn into that. Sorry about that, I know feet are gross.

When I think of more, I'll do a part two. Until then, I hope y'all are having a great Tuesday!

Don't forget to enter the giveaway on yesterday's post for 4 bottles of Essie polish and eye shadow palette here! There is a low number of entries and there will be two winners so get on over there and enter! :)

Oh you do make me laugh!! You are just like my husband with eating one thing at a time. It drives me crazy! I keep telling him that while he's munching down on the green beans, the darn steak and potatoes are getting cold!! Lol. He tells me he'll never change:)

I think you should add if you knew me you would know I have a horrible time deciding what I'm going to eat, and I change my mind atleast twice before deciding!! I love "knowing you" and all your idiosyncrasies!

Well, lets see...I sing all the time, only eat one thing at a time, always have shoes on, don't like dirty feet, always look forward to my next meal but unfortunately...there is one difference. I don't mind people touching my feet...if its a pedicure of course! :) Oh the things you learn!

I always wear my shoes too because I hate walking barefoot and getting crumbs or dirt stuck on them! Loved that book from childhood!

I constantly have to get on my hubby about it, and then he knows it really irritates me so he does it even more!
